Jacob
Partner - Consultant
Jacob joins the Pathfinder Resilience team as a Partner and Consultant, with a background spanning Local Authority Emergency Planning, National Highways, the offshore oil and gas industry, and frontline NHS Ambulance Service where his interest in Incident Management was ignited. Jacob was a Strategic Road Network CLEAR Lead at National Highways, aiming to reduce the impact of road traffic collisions on road users and improve overall safety. Jacob currently works for a Local Authority as an Emergency Planning Officer, with a portfolio that includes Business Continuity, training and exercising, mass fatality and Major Accident Hazard Pipeline planning. bringing a diverse depth of knowledge to the organisation.


Cain
Partner - Consultant
Cain joins the Pathfinder Resilience team as a Partner and Consultant. Holding a MSc in Risk Analysis, Disasters and Resilience from King's College London, where he specialised in environmental disaster preparedness and response, as well as conducting research into the unique challenges for risk communication on small island states. Cain currently works as an Emergency Planning Officer in the aviation industry, where his portfolio includes risk management, business continuity, and incident response. Cain brings a blend of academic insight and practical experience helping organisations navigate complex resilience challenges.
Brandon
Consultant - Advisor
Brandon brings applied expertise in risk, resilience, and systems-based decision-making across complex operating environments. He is a researcher and PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, based within the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development, where his work focussed on translating systems theory and participatory planning into practical tools for investment, governance, and risk management. Brandon works directly with international institutions including the FAO, UN Tourism, the Commonwealth, and the UK FCDO, and teaches economics, finance, and urban development at the University of Cambridge. He holds undergraduate degrees from Wake Forest University.
Brandon also serves as an Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, supporting infrastructure planning and disaster response operations in contingency and high-risk contexts. Brandon is also a founder and board member of DroneLFT, a heavy-lift unmanned logistics company operating in austere and contested contexts, where he addresses corporate risk across strategic, operational, financial, and compliance domains.
